The best thing about my dad.

Earlier today we had this Father’s day talk and they asked me what was the best thing my dad has taught me.

My answer was, “The best thing I ever learned from papa is to never let go of God. But it was something he didn’t teach to me like any teacher will. It was something I learned by observing the way he lived. Kahit mahirap ang buhay, kahit minsan parang hindi na kaya, at kahit minsan sobrang nag-o-overflow blessings, in good times and in bad times, we should always be thankful to God. Because we humans usually get disappointed by certain lows in life and our typical reaction to that is to give up on Him. Some people I know sasabihin nila they give up on God and they say that praying to God is useless because He doesn’t answer their prayers and stuff like that, but with papa it’s different. No matter what happens, tiwala lang talaga kay Lord.”
